Where better to kick off the 25th Melbourne Fashion Festival runway program than the iconic National Gallery of Victoria? The Gala Runway, presented by David Jones, was held in the Gallery’s soaring foyer in the shadow of the large-scale multimedia artwork, Quantum Memories, by new media artist, Refik Anadol, currently in situ for NGV Triennial. Wearing the latest looks from the department store, models navigated the breathtaking space that was brought to life by the towering installation’s arresting and ever-changing visuals.
